Any officer who registers to attend this course must have an OneNet account established. This is the method that ISP issues the BAO License after successful completion of the course. If you do not have an OneNet account or need recertification contact Michael Casey, Illinois State Police Academy at (217) 786-6925 or email isp.bao.training@illinois.gov.
The Breath Alcohol Testing Course trains police officers in the operation of evidential breath test instruments. The program presents information on the effects of alcohol on the human body, operational procedures, Vehicle and Traffic Law pertaining to DWI enforcement, and pertinent case law. Successful students will receive a Breath Alcohol Testing permit which will expire three years from the date issued.
