This 8-hour advanced course is for CIT officers who have already completed the 40-hour certified Crisis Intervention Team training program certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board. This course reviews and builds upon the five components within the 40-hour certified CIT curriculum: Training, Community Collaboration, Accessible Crisis System, Behavioral Health Staff Training and Family Advocate, and Education.
